Level up with Pryda engineered floor trusses

Back to news

If you’re looking for a quick, safe and easy way to build floors, or a high performing, solid alternative to iJoists and posi struts, Pryda engineered prefabricated floor trusses are just what you need.

Manufactured by Dahlsens Truss & Frame, delivered to spec and ready to install, these floor trusses offer superior results while removing complexity onsite – saving time and reducing the risk of errors or delays.

Pryda Span Trusses are made with metal webbing and ideal for shallower floor systems where slim profiles and easy service penetrations are required. They arrive onsite in lengths to your specs for a quick install and no cutting to size.

The metal webs are available in multiple lightweight options:

  • PW25: 250mm web – finished height 240mm, 250mm or 260mm
  • PW30: 300mm web – finished height 290mm, 300mm or 310mm
  • TW14: 355mm web – finished height 372mm
  • TW16: 406mm web – finished height 422mm

Pryda Longreach Trusses are engineered, timber web trusses. They are custom designed for longer spans and deeper floor voids (compared to the Pryda Span Trusses) and arrive onsite ready to install.

Longreach trusses can accommodate designs with floor depths over 450mm, meeting the increased set-down requirements of the NCC.

Why builders choose Pryda floor trusses from Dahlsens

  • Custom made
Custom-made to spec and to accommodate set downs for wet areas or deeper floor systems. The trusses arrive pre-cut which reduces errors and improves safety. The top chord support also reduces joist hangers needed.
  • More room for services
Extra-large holes and deeper voids make service installation faster and neater which saves time and money onsite. This also eliminates any possible non-conformance due to service installation compromising the structural integrity of the floor.
  • Flexibility
Designed and manufactured to any floor truss height between 190mm and 500mm and to include shower set downs. Multiple end support types for connection to timber, steel or concrete.
  • Quick to install
Delivered pre-cut with big service holes, so less cutting, drilling and safer to install.
  • Superior performance and long spans
The strong, stiff Pryda floor trusses are engineered to reduce bounce and provide a superior result. The ability to span big open spaces means fewer internal walls and more design freedom.
  • NCC compliant
Fully NCC compliant and designed using industry-leading Pryda software. A full product specification is included in the Producer Statement. One supplier means complete traceability and simplifies the approval process.

What other builders are saying

“We’re always looking for ways to be more efficient while still maintaining the quality of our builds. The Pryda trusses are less bouncy and have less squeaking noise compared to a traditional floors so this is better for the custom homes we build.

With traditional iJoist trusses you have to cut through the trusses to enable services which could compromise the integrity of the trusses. The steel webs of the Pryda span trusses mean the services can go through easily, the trades are spending less time on site cutting and notching, and you’re still maintaining the quality and structural integrity of your build. They are also prefabricated so you don’t have to worry about set downs.”
