Quality hardwood timber floors

Timber flooring is a timeless addition to any home. Loved for it’s natural beauty, timber flooring adds a wonderful sense of warmth and texture to a space, and can complement almost any style with the endless range of options available.

Available in solid strip and tongue and groove overlay flooring.

Dahlsens can supply hardwood timber flooring in solid strip or tongue and groove overlay from trusted Australian timber mills and suppliers. Solid strip timber flooring can be installed directly to flooring joists and doesn’t require a structural flooring component below, while overlay timber flooring is generally a thinner tongue and groove board which is secured to concrete or a structural floor.

Dahlsens has access to a huge selection of timber flooring sizes sure to suit your clients’ specifications.

Hardwood timber flooring species

Dahlsens can supply timber flooring in a range of Australian species, along with international favourites American Oak and French Oak. Our team can also access options for thermally modified timber and beautiful parquetry flooring.

Tasmanian oak

Tasmanian Oak is a uniform and smooth timber species with a grain that is typically straight, open and even. The colour of this timber is fair and ranges from light straw to a reddish brown. Its light colour makes Tasmanian Oak ideal for staining in order to match other timber furniture or finishes.

Tasmanian Oak flooring is available in a range of sizes to suit your clients’ preferences.

Ironbark

There are two popular species of Ironbark timber available for timber structural flooring; Red Ironbark and Grey Ironbark.

Red Ironbark is the darker of the two, typically varying from dark brown to dark red. Grey Ironbark is slightly lighter, generally mid-to-dark red or brown. Ironbark is well suited to projects with a classic, warm aesthetic.

Ironbark flooring is available in a range of sizes to suit your clients’ preferences.

Blackbutt

Blackbutt is a light, clean looking timber species well suited for clients who have a minimalist or Scandinavian-inspired look in mind. Presenting with a light straw to pale brown colour, Blackbutt is characterised by gum vein and pinhole borer natural features.

Blackbutt flooring is available in a range of sizes to suit your clients’ preferences.

Spotted gum

Grown along the east coast of Australia, Spotted Gum is a mid-toned premium hardwood. Ideal for most residential projects, Spotted Gum is a mid-brown colour with light sapwood, and often features natural gum vein.

Spotted gum flooring is available in a range of sizes to suit your clients’ preferences.

Engineered timber flooring

Dahlsens can supply a range of engineered timber flooring options for your next project. A stunning option for any new home or commercial build, engineered timber floors are a strong and versatile alternative to solid hardwood flooring.
