Dahlsens Scratch & Win – Trade Promotion Terms & Conditions

- Promotion Type
This promotion is a trade promotion lottery (game of chance) conducted in accordance with applicable Victorian, New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory laws and regulations.
- Promotional Period
The promotion commences at 12:00am (AEDT) on 17 March 2026 and ends at 11:59pm (AEDT) on 1 December 2026 or when all prizes have been exhausted, whichever occurs first.
The Promoter reserves the right to end the promotion early if all prizes are won prior to the scheduled end date.
- Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who receive an official Dahlsens Scratch & Win scratchie during the promotional period.
Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, suppliers and contractors and representatives Housing Industry Association (HIA) or Master Builders Association (MBA) are not eligible to enter.
- How to Enter
5.1 Entry Method – Scratch & Win (Instant Win Prizes)
To enter the promotion, eligible participants must be given a Dahlsens Scratch & Win scratchie by a Dahlsens team member or a representative of the Housing Industry Association (HIA) or Master Builders Association (MBA) at participating building industry events, or other events at the discretion of Dahlsens.
To enter the instant win draw for a chance to win a $1,000 Visa Gift Card, entrants must:
- Scratch the designated scratch panel on the scratchie; and
- If revealed as a winning ticket, scan the QR code and complete the online form with their contact details to enable prize verification and delivery.
5.2 Entry Method – Second Chance Spin‑the‑Wheel Draw
Non‑winning scratchie recipients may enter the second chance draw by:
- Scanning the QR code on the scratchie;
- Completing the online entry form with required contact details; and
- Participating in the digital “spin the wheel” game for a chance to win a $500 Visa Gift Card.
Limit of one entry per scratchie applies.
- Number of Scratchies
A total of 5,000 scratchies will be produced and distributed at random during the promotional period.
- Prizes
7.1 Instant Win Prizes
- 2 × $1,000 Visa Gift Cards
- Total instant win prize value: $2,000
Winning scratchies will be distributed at random and may be won at any time during the promotional period, including before the promotion end date.
7.2 Second Chance Prizes
- 5 × $500 Visa Gift Cards
- Total second chance prize value: $2,500
Second chance prizes will be randomly awarded during the promotional period via the digital platform.
7.3 Total Prize Pool
The total prize pool value is $4,500 (AUD).
- Prize Draws and Winner Selection
8.1 Instant Win Prizes
Instant win prizes are determined at the time the scratch panel is revealed. No separate draw is conducted.
8.2 Second Chance Draws
Second chance winners will be randomly selected by EasyPromos, a third‑party digital promotion platform, throughout the promotional period.
Second chance prizes may be exhausted before the end of the promotion.
- Winner Notification
9.1 $1,000 Visa Gift Card Winners
Winners must notify the Promoter of their win by completing the QR code form. The Promoter will contact verified winners via phone or email to arrange prize delivery. Winning scratchie must be presented to verify win.
9.2 $500 Visa Gift Card Winners
Winners will be contacted directly by phone and/or email using the contact details provided at entry to arrange prize delivery.
Every reasonable effort will be made to contact all winners.
- Publication of Results
Winners of prizes will have their name published on the Dahlsens website or official social media channels for a minimum of 28 days.
- Unclaimed Prizes
If a prize is not claimed within the time specified by the Promoter:
- The Promoter will retain the prize and make reasonable efforts to contact the winner.
- If the winner cannot be contacted, the prize will be held for at least three (3) months.
- After this period, a replacement winner may be drawn 3 March 2027, provided the promotion rules allow for this.
- If a prize remains unclaimed after all reasonable steps, it may be forfeited in accordance with applicable laws.
- Retained Prize Pool
If all scratchies are not distributed and/or not all prizes are won by the end of the promotional period, the Promoter reserves the right to retain the remaining prize pool.
- Permit Numbers
No permit is required to conduct this trade promotion lottery in Victoria or New South Wales provided all conditions under the Victorian Gambling, Casino Control Commission, New South Wales Fair Trading guidelines are met.

- Prize Conditions
Visa Gift Cards are subject to the issuer’s standard terms and conditions. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and may have expiry dates and usage restrictions in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
- Marketing Communications
By entering this promotion, entrantsconsent to being added to the Dahlsens mailing list and receiving marketing communications from the Promoter, including promotional offers, product updates and industry news.
Entrants may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe facility included in communications or by contacting the Promoter directly.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy laws.
16. Privacy
By entering, entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for the purposes of administering this promotion, contacting winners and marketing communications from Dahlsens exclusively. Personal information will not be used for any other purpose unless disclosed at the time of entry.
17. General
The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these Terms & Conditions. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
