Together, we’ve navigated the challenges of COVID and the ensuing supply shortages and price increases created by record levels of housing demand. It’s been a big year, but we’ve made it through, doing our best to support the needs of our customers and their clients. A heart-felt thank you goes to all of our customers for supporting Dahlsens, the regional and metro communities we are a part of and our team of 700+ team members. For as long as you trust Dahlsens to help you get on with the job, we will continue to do the best by our industry, building and further improving the way we go about things.
Dahlsens grows our southern network by investing in new locations and upgrading our current sites to ensure we are best equipped to serve you. In 2021, we opened Alexandria, Thomastown, Riverstone and a new Kirrawee site. In 2022, we will open new sites for Smithfield, Morisset and Bairnsdale.
In the Dahlsens Group’s northern business, we opened new truss and frame in Cairns, a store in Gordonvale, Herbert Hall Hardware in Charters Towers and Townsville Hardware.

Our strong relationships with our suppliers have enabled us to keep our customers’ projects going in these never-seen-before industry wide supply challenges. Thank to you our suppliers for all you’ve done to support us.
We’ve stayed connected.
We’ve shared many laughs, chats, drinks and snags over product news at a number of face-to-face events (while not in lockdown). And look forward to many more in 2022.
Our team members and customers are located near and far from each other, yet we’ve remained closely connected by sharing stories, news, photos, videos, training, webinars and announcements via digital and face-to-face communications across the network.
Dahlsens launched ‘Be Well’, our new program to support the health and wellbeing of team member and our community.
A few other developments:
-A number of team members have upskilled and obtained high risk work licences, forklift licences and crane licenses.
-We’ve continued our focus to improve safety and wellbeing in the workplace and onsite while delivering to you.
-We’ve partnered with Buildxact and enabled builders to integrate their software directly with our pricing for seamless updates.
-We’ve boosted our Inventory and Logistics team to support our commitment to provide outstanding and reliable service to our customers.
